An ambitious outsourcing provider based in East Kilbride (Peel Park) who’s offering terrific career opportunities to experienced Sales Advisors to work on a new energy sales campaign on behalf of Scottish Power.

What would you be selling?

As a B2C Telesales Advisor, you’ll be contacting residential customers by phone to promote energy services as well as gas and electricity products on behalf of Scottish Power.


What’s the environment like?

It’s a smart and stylish contact centre office. It’s vibrant and has a real buzz. It’s business dress Monday to Thursday and casual on a Friday. There’s spectacular views from the site, there’s an onsite deli-bar with first class facilities including shower rooms, internet terminals, waterside picnic tables etc. There’s even plans to put in an onsite gym later this year.


What’s the hours of work?

Monday to Thursday is 12:30pm to 8:30pm and Friday is 11:30am to 7:30pm.


How would you get to work?

If you want drive in then there’s onsite parking available. If you don’t then it’s easily accessible by public transport. The number 6 bus stops at Peel Park (every 10 mins) and it runs through Clydebank, the West End, the City Centre, the Gorbals, Govanhill, Battlefield and Cathcart etc. It takes 40 minutes from the city centre. However, our client is planning to start running their own shuttle bus from the city centre soon and that will be free of charge!


What should you expect when you apply for the job?

One of the team at CCA will have a look at your CV but most importantly we’ll want to have a chat. It is a sales role after all. We’ll give you a call and then ask you in to our offices in Renfrew Street. When we meet you face-to-face we’ll agree if we’re going to ask our client to interview you. If you go to an interview with our client, you’ll meet the folk in charge who’ll want to suss out your experience, your attitude and your drive. If you nail the interview and accept a job offer then your new employer will agree your start date and send off for a Disclosure Scotland basic criminal record check and take some references.

Do you need similar experience?

If you have at least a year’s proven success in energy sales in a contact centre then this may be a great match for you. But if you have great sales experience in the motor-trade, door-to-door sales, telecoms or other sales roles then you may just fit the bill too!


What happens when you start the job?

The first week will be training (Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm) with a qualified Trainer from Scottish Power. This is where you’ll learn all about your new employer, their client, their client’s systems and products and what’s expected of you in the job. After that you’ll spend up to 4 weeks in a graduation bay area where you’ll be supported and encouraged to fine tune your knowledge, skills and approach.
