An employee from CCA Recruitment Group put his golf swing to the test by taking part in the Longest Golf Day Challenge to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Resource Planning and Analytics recruitment specialist Gareth Foulkes, joined three golf buddies at Bolton Golf Club to play 72 holes, equivalent to four rounds (the Open championship, non-stop in 1 day.
Teeing off at 6.30am, the quartet took around 14 hours to complete the challenge, walking more than 20 miles and hitting approximately 300 shots each as they battled against the British weather.
Gareth 32, a consultant with CCA Recruitment group for 18 months has always been a keen golfer previously worked in the industry and spending two years at specialist Golf college Myerscough in Preston.
Gareth added: “Wow, what a challenge, definitely harder than we thought but worth all the upside down trolleys, lost balls, wet waterproofs and inside out umbrellas!”
